Penneys Autumn/Winter 16 Preview

There I am delighted with life

Hello, I hope all is good.  Well this is one event that I am very excited to blog about. On Thursday 16th June I attended the Primark Press Day for Autumn\Winter 16. (Still pinching myself)  I was so excited to attend as I have always been a Penneys lover and over the years their collection had grown and developed into a look that can be mistaken for high end.

For this post I have mixed images I took at the press day with images as art of the PR package from Penneys. Let me know what your favourite look is, just comment below.

When I first started blogging I would see other bloggers attending their press days and I would say WOW that is where I want to go. It was definitely one of my blogging goals and it has happened. So always push, connect and work hard.

On the press day itself the room was setup with clothing, accessories, kidswear and homeware. Showcasing the pieces that will be hitting stores for Autumn Winter, I literally wanted to take home all of it home, from the clothing right down to the accessories, all of the pieces are beautiful.

"For Autumn Winter 2016, Primark channels a diverse range of trends to cover all fashion tastes and lifestyles. On-the-go, city life is at the forefront of the collections with influences evident from many eras."

Various themes run through the collection, you will get a sense of these when you see the clothing. You can stick to one or take elements from each to create your perfect look for AW16.

Winter Garden:

This collection is very ladylike and chic. It embodies layering, a trend that is always on point for Autumn\ Winter, especially with our unpredictable weather. A layering feature of this trend, can be as simple as wearing a tee under a slinky spaghetti strap dresses. It also features faux fur, this is another trend that comes back year after year. Chunky winter knits, blouses and patterned florals are all part of the winter garden. Accessorise with over sized earrings, mini croc bags and berets. This look is not being  polished , it's about being mismatching and mixing the various elements up to create your look.

Downtown:

This is 90's nostalgia but with a modern twist so do not panic especially, if you were a 90's child like me. This trend is laid back and for the sneaker loving girl. Key pieces include, the varsity jacket, ribbed knitted tube dress and check coat. Other features include, sports luxe, puffa jackets, slogan jerseys, shell tracksuits and sporty bombers. Accessories to pull it all together include chokers, trainers and backpacks.

Studio 54

Bringing you right back in time, this collection is perfect for the festive season. The range features sequins and the mini is back with a bang and will be perfect to pair with over the knee boots. The blouse is a key piece which has either pussy-bow or high necked ruffles in shiny gold or silver fabrics. We cannot have a Studio 54 trend without the faux fur coat and its back of course. Plush velvets are featured  in berry tones, pinks and navy. It is very feminine as the collection is soft and floaty. One theme I was definitely loving at the press day.

Artisan:

This collection features the bohemian trend. With clashing prints, bold colours, patchwork detailing, embroidery and tapestry all form parts of the detail, especially on denim and knitwear. The pleated midi skirt still features in a metallics, with floor sweeping military coats, finished off with cosy knitted pieces.

Alternative Hen Party Ideas

Hello all, for this post, I am going to share some fabulous alternative hen party ideas. This post has been on my to-do list for a long time now, if you're stuck on ideas for something different then don't worry because I have you covered, from Gin School to Glamping and everything in between. These venues and activities will ease the stress of planning so enjoy the read. Organising a hen party can be a very difficult and tiring task. If you have been tasked as the hen party organiser you probably have a sense of the pressure already. My top tip is to make the whole planning process as easy as possible for yourself, especially if you're not used to planning and organising. The venue and activities that you choose will help take that stress away so ensure that you choose well. Also bear in mind that the Bride needs to feel special and relaxed. Even if there is mayhem going on in the background don't let her see it. Listoke Distillery & Gin School:...

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!! For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup. The whole idea with strobing is that you can see the skin and it is not heavily covered up.  I have been using the Mac Strobe Cream for a few months now. You can also strobe with powder.  Mary-Loumanizer by the Balm Mac Soft and Gentle  What I like about Mac Strobe? It makes the skin look radiant, fresh and healthy (for tired Mammies like me it's a must) It's easily applied. It's a no fuss product, there is no messing with it. It can be worn alone or added after foundation is applied. With some blush you are good to go. ...

Boyne Hill House Estate Your Exclusive Wedding Venue

Hello all, I am back with my Wedding Venue Feature. I will be putting the spotlight on different venues that I know you are going to love. The last feature I did went down really well so I decided to do it again, sure any excuse to go visit venues and I am gone. Recently I visited   Boyne Hill House Estate this exclusive wedding venue has been on my radar for a while, so I was very excited to go visit it. Boyne Hill Hosue is located in the picturesque surroundings of Co.Meath, it dates back to the 18th Century so you can just imagine the charm and history that it beholds. The drive up to the Estate is very beautiful and tranquil. I couldn't help but picture how a couple would feel making their way up to the Estate. If I had all the good feelings about it I know a lot of newly engaged couples will. When you drive up the roadway to the Estate, the historic house peaks out from the woodlands. I will a...
