Flormar CC Cream

Before Christmas I was kindly sent two samples of the Flormar CC Cream to try out. The cream is available in four different shades and retails at €11.95. The creams are designed to deal with skin issues from redness to dark circles.

"When it comes to makeup we all have specific needs depending on our skin tone, especially during the winter months, with the harsh weather conditions affecting our skin in different ways. Flormar’s Magical Colour Effect Correcting Cream (40 ml) is the next generation of multi-tasking beauty, with colour and tone correction in one multi-action foundation, transforming your skin from drab to fab in seconds".

The creams come in four shades and they are:

CCO1 (Purple) Anti Dullness brightens tired looking skin by balancing the yellow-green tones in your skin, to give you a more alert, fresher look.

CCO2 (Green) Anti Redness helps neutralize redness to give a more natural, even look.

CCO3 (Pink) Anti Dark Circles neutralizes blue-green tones in your skin, to banish dark circles under the eyes.

CCO4 (Neutral) Anti Fatigue provides extra coverage and is ideal for problematic areas such as scars.

I tested out shades CC01 and CC02. The creams are designed to illuminate the skin through tiny reflecting particles. When you squeeze out the cream it comes out in a colour i.e the CC01 comes out purple and the CC02 is green (see image above). Once you apply to the face it then transforms into a light foundation. The texture is creamy and soft and you only need to use a small amount, as the coverage is very good. I applied mine with my hands as I found it went on better than when I applied it with a foundation brush.

My Thoughts:

If you want fuller cover, you could always mix the creams in with your foundation or add mineral foundation over it as I do if I want more cover.

I am not into heavy coverage on the skin unless I am going out. So for everyday use I found these to be perfect for me.

The creams neutralised my skin tone and gave it a fresh look. I have high red tones in my skin so the CC02 was perfect for correcting those tones and the CC01 works very well when the skin is tired looking, like mine after sleepless nights.

The green also works well on the eyes. I have some light red veins on my lids and because I'm so fair skinned, I found that applying a tiny amount naturalised them for applying eyeshadow.

As I am a mammy to two Girls I do not have an hour free every day to apply my makeup. These creams are quick and easy to use for getting out the door. I then just add some of my usual products, bronzer, blush, highlight and lip gloss and of course mascara (because I cannot leave the house without it).

Here I am wearing the Purple CC01. (no filter has been used)

closer one (again no filter used)

Flormar is available in pharmacies nationwide. Have you tried these yet tell me what do you think?

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!! For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup. The whole idea with strobing is that you can see the skin and it is not heavily covered up.  I have been using the Mac Strobe Cream for a few months now. You can also strobe with powder.  Mary-Loumanizer by the Balm Mac Soft and Gentle  What I like about Mac Strobe? It makes the skin look radiant, fresh and healthy (for tired Mammies like me it's a must) It's easily applied. It's a no fuss product, there is no messing with it. It can be worn alone or added after foundation is applied. With some blush you are good to go.  Lo
