Alternative Wedding Entertainment

A reader requested a post about alternative entertainment for their Wedding. They are getting married  in Ireland and their afters is being held in a restaurant setting. They are searching for something other than a DJ and also some entertainment for outside before dinner. This a new area for me, so I researched it and selected some alternative options, that I thought might be of interest. I have also dotted images in the post that may look crazy but could be fun. It may help get the creative juices going. Images are from pinterest unless otherwise tagged.

Please Let know if this was helpful and also what your tips would be to help our Bride To Be? You can also follow my blog on FacebookInstagramTwitter Pinterest and my Snapchat user is maryroche2.When I reach 500 likes on my Facebook page, I will be running a competition there. So come and say hi.

Now more than ever brides and grooms are doing more of what they want when it comes to their wedding day. The traditional sense of what we assume a wedding to be is fast changing. This goes from the wedding dress right up to the venue and entertainment. Not everyone wants a church, the standard function room in a hotel or a band.

My tips for selecting your entertainment:

Brainstorm ideas, use post-its, write down or draw whatever comes into your head. No matter how big or silly, then go back over them and take out what you do not want. Use a heading like, "Our wedding entertainment looks like this"

Create a board of images use pinterest for inspiration. Pin up your top images at home. Then place a mark or coloured sticker on what you like the idea off.

Take names of companies and entainers that you like from weddings you have attend or wedding fairs.

Go and see different types of entertainment live so you get a sense of what they are like.

Always ask if the group you like comes in a smaller size. More often than not they do, i.e. a 6 piece will break down to a 3 for smaller settings.

And enjoy it all.

If you are looking to preview some performances for your wedding then check out Bridal Rock based in Dublin showcasing various performances every month. I just came across this on Facebook recently.

Bellingham Castle Wedding Venue

The Entrance  Hello all, this post feature will be the final one for now as part of my wedding venue feature. With this feature the spotlight is on Bellingham Castle which I fell in love with it, of course, each of the venues has charmed me in different ways. As you will see from the pictures the was shining for my  visit which made it extremely easy for me to take pictures of this breathtaking venue. I received a very warm welcome and I was shown around by the lovely Ciara. She explained that herself and Patrick look after the needs of Brides & Grooms. They are on hand for the run up to your big day.  The Castle is, as you would expect, extremely opulent. The Castle was renovated and re-opened in 2014.  There are up to 150 weddings a year here, so you guessed right, it is a highly sought after venue. As always early booking is essential, do not put booking your venue on the ...

Flormar Revolution Lipstick In Burgundy Mission

These are the three berry colours available    I was delighted to receive a sample of the Revolution lipstick in burgundy mission, along with the lip liner to match. These were Kindly sent from RDC Communications . Flormar  was launched this year in Ireland and it has proven to be a huge success and a popular choice for those who want affordability and quality.  I tested this lipstick out over Christmas, as I am trying to be more adventurous and try out stronger colours, as I normally tend to stick with nude tones. This lipstick is a rich berry colour with blue undertones, having these undertones makes your teeth appear whiter.   "Revolution is Flormar premium lipstick containing shea butter, cocoa, olives, a super pigment and easy 8 hr staying power" . Swatch of lipstick and liner  Application Tips: Before application ensure your lips are in good condition especially in this harsh weather. Exfoliate to remove any dry ...
