Did You Forget Something?




Hello all, I hope your January is going well so far  and you're settling back into the routine after Christmas. Before I go into this post, I just want to share my other social media sites with you, so that you can follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter , Pinterest and my Snapchat user is maryroche2. As a thank you I will be running a competition on my instagram in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out. When I reach 500 likes on my Facebook page, I will  also run a comp there. Think about this, have you ever gone to a wedding and after dinner all you want to do is take off your heels and wear something more comfortable so you can dance the night away or have you only wished that you had of brought the hair clips and hairspray that you left at home...I know I have for sure, so do not let your guests go through these traumas at your wedding. Supply a simple wedding basket for your guests in the toilet, trust me it will be the best extra that you give your guests and it is so practical.

All you need is a simple basket like these ones (below) or a pretty storage box that you could pick up in the likes of  Penneys, Argos, Tk Maxx, Dunnes or the €1.50 shop. Of course you can make them look pretty by adding ribbon or inserting a nice towel or tissue paper in the basket and placing the items on top.




We had these baskets at our wedding in Roganstown and they were placed in both the ladies and gents toilets. This ensured that everyone could access them very easily. Most weddings venus have separate bathrooms for weddings, so you do not need to worry about random people taking stuff from the baskets. When you have your baskets ready leave them with your venue a few days before your Wedding. The wedding team will have them in the toilets for you, so you do not need to worry about it then

So what do you put in these baskets? Below is an example of what you could add in.  It's so easy to pick most of these items up in Penneys so it will not cost a fortune.

Ladies:

Hair Clips
Flip flops  (in various sizes and the best thing to have in the basket )
Deodorant
Mints
Plasters
Perfume or body spray
Stationery Towels/ Tampons
Bobbins
Pins (incase one of your guests has an outfit malfunction)
Tissues
Baby Wipes
Needle and thread
Nail Varnish (in a neutral colour)
Toothpaste
Tanning gel and some disposable gloves (cocoa Brown Tanning Gel)
Panadol
Gaviscon



Leave the basket on the side of the dancefloor if you like

Deodorant

Baby Wipes
Aftershave
Baby Wipes
Shoe buffer
Plasters
Toothpaste
Panadol
Gaviscon





If you are getting married abroad you could add on some sunscreen and anti bite spray and perhaps some blankets for the evening.

Ardgillan Castle Wedding Venue Feature

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!! For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup.
