Roganstown Hotel and Country Club Wedding Venue

Hello all, I am back with my Wedding Venue Feature. This time the spotlight is on Roganstown Hotel & Country Club Now this venue is very close to my heart as we had our wedding reception here in 2011.

On our wedding day

We still go back when we can for dinner or a night away and it still holds the magic of our wedding day. I have included some images of our wedding day in this post so you can get a really good feel of the venue. From our experience, everything was perfect from the planning, food, service and care that both ourselves and our guests received.

Arriving on our wedding day

A few weeks ago I headed out to Roganstown for their showcase evening. At a showcase evening, you get to see a venue setup for a wedding. There are no suppliers present at a showcase, you get time to chat with the wedding team in a very relaxed setting. If you fall in love with the venue you can book your wedding date at the showcase.

Roganstown is a restored Country House and is located in the countryside of North Dublin just outside of Swords. It is amazing as you are in the center of everything, yet you feel like you are miles away from it all once there.

One of my favorite views is when driving up to Roganstown and seeing the beautiful house and grounds appear from the road on approach. I remember driving up when we were viewing the venue and thinking, WOW, this is just gorgeous.

The hotel is surrounded by an 18 hole golf course so you can imagine how immaculate the grounds are. The hotel also offers a full spa and you can view the treatments here.

Roganstown has three beautiful suites to cater for your wedding party size.
  • The Aungier Suite caters for 240 people
  • Mc Loughlin's Restaurant caters for 80
  • The intimate Green Room caters for 30 guests
Whatever your wedding size it will be catered for, the hotel also has 52 guest bedrooms.

Our Top Table

When I was at the showcase The Green Room was set up for an intimate civil ceremony. The Aungier Suite can also cater for a civil ceremony, especially if you have larger numbers. There is an area in front of the house that could be setup for an outdoor ceremony, so beautiful against the backdrop of the house and grounds.

O'Calllaghans Bar accommodates a large group, making it easy for your guests to mingle when they arrive. You can also get your wedding photographs taken on the grounds, so there really is no need to stop off anywhere else.

Mc Loughlin's Resturant

The grounds make for stunning photographs

The Aungier Suite has a balcony that overlooks the stunning landscape. The suite overlooks the grounds and the Japanese Gardens, another great location for pictures.

The Aungier Suite also has a bar and toilets located in the room. You might think, why is this important? It worked out really well as our guests did not have to the leave the room throughout the evening. This helped to retain the atmosphere and energy of our wedding.

Wedding packages:

Roganstown has various packages on offer which range from €55.00- €79.95. The package for €55 is the winter wedding rate which runs from October 1st - March 31st. As with all wedding packages, talk with your wedding planner and make amendments where necessary based on your needs and budget.

Flormar Revolution Lipstick In Burgundy Mission

These are the three berry colours available    I was delighted to receive a sample of the Revolution lipstick in burgundy mission, along with the lip liner to match. These were Kindly sent from RDC Communications . Flormar  was launched this year in Ireland and it has proven to be a huge success and a popular choice for those who want affordability and quality.  I tested this lipstick out over Christmas, as I am trying to be more adventurous and try out stronger colours, as I normally tend to stick with nude tones. This lipstick is a rich berry colour with blue undertones, having these undertones makes your teeth appear whiter.   "Revolution is Flormar premium lipstick containing shea butter, cocoa, olives, a super pigment and easy 8 hr staying power" . Swatch of lipstick and liner  Application Tips: Before application ensure your lips are in good condition especially in this harsh weather. Exfoliate to remove any dry skin and apply vase

Located between Balbriggan & Skerries. If you have ever visited here you will understand what I mean. Everytime I go to Ardgillan I literally fall in love with it all over again. Whether I go for coffee in the tea rooms, bring my daughters to the  playground or just walk around the grounds. I adore it and Ardgillan was recently featured on Lovin Dublin as the best park in Dublin to visit, now that's pretty cool. So onto the beautiful Castle, I met with Ann-Marie and Danielle and we chatt

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!! For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup. The whole idea with strobing is that you can see the skin and it is not heavily covered up.  I have been using the Mac Strobe Cream for a few months now. You can also strobe with powder.  Mary-Loumanizer by the Balm Mac Soft and Gentle  What I like about Mac Strobe? It makes the skin look radiant, fresh and healthy (for tired Mammies like me it's a must) It's easily applied. It's a no fuss product, there is no messing with it. It can be worn alone or added after foundation is applied. With some blush you are good to go.  Lo
