Boyne Hill House Estate Your Exclusive Wedding Venue

Hello all, I am back with my Wedding Venue Feature. I will be putting the spotlight on different venues that I know you are going to love. The last feature I did went down really well so I decided to do it again, sure any excuse to go visit venues and I am gone.

Recently I visited  Boyne Hill House Estate this exclusive wedding venue has been on my radar for a while, so I was very excited to go visit it. Boyne Hill Hosue is located in the picturesque surroundings of Co.Meath, it dates back to the 18th Century so you can just imagine the charm and history that it beholds. The drive up to the Estate is very beautiful and tranquil. I couldn't help but picture how a couple would feel making their way up to the Estate. If I had all the good feelings about it I know a lot of newly engaged couples will.

When you drive up the roadway to the Estate, the historic house peaks out from the woodlands. I will admit that it did take my breath away, I actually said "WOW" to myself.

When I arrived at the venue I was greeted and shown around by Wedding Co-ordinator Leona. Our first stop was "The Secret Garden", this got me very excited. I love when venues have these hidden extras, the couple getting married really feel like they are getting that something extra special. All of these elements add to making the day and experience extremely unique.

The Secret Garden is the perfect location for your outdoor ceremony and for your wedding pictures, that is one element you will not need to worry about.
The backdrop of the estate is a photographers dream.

Below you can see how The Secret Garden looks when all setup, it is just perfect.

We then moved onto the Mansion House. Upon entering the house I felt like I was stepping back in time, like a scene from Downton Abbey. The house caters for 100 people and it has eight deluxe bedrooms including the bridal suite. The accommodation is ideal for your bridal party, extra bedding can also be added to some rooms to cater for more.

The Bridal Suite below, again the views and lighting are flawless.

If you're staying in the house the night before your big day. There is the option of holding an intimate dinner in the opulent dining room, which seats seventeen people. On the morning of your wedding, you can get ready in the house. There are rooms that can be used as a children's room, which can be set up with games to keep them entertained.

The room below can be used as a games room for children or as a makeup room for the bridal party.

On the day of your wedding, the drinks reception is hosted in the house. You could also have your wedding dinner in the house if you are having a more intimate wedding. Every window in the house overlooks the landscaped gardens and the lighting is amazing.

Drawing room set up for dinner.

There is also a gentlemen's room which is very cool. The room has a snooker table in it and is the perfect spot to ensure the groom and groomsmen are kept busy on the morning of the wedding.

One very cool feature is a secret tunnel that leads from the house directly to the main building, yes a secret tunnel. It opens up into the Civil Ceremony room, a distinct entrance for a Bride to be.

This leads me into the venue for your civil ceremony and dinner, the venue caters for 170 people. Upon walking up these stairs you enter the reception venue. I cannot say enough about the lighting throughout the Mansion House and reception building, it just flows.

All set up for a wedding:

Upon leaving the civil ceremony area you enter "The Blushing Groom Lobby and Lounge" which can hold up to 250 guests. This area is also used for your entertainment after dinner so there will be no waiting around for your guests after dinner for room setup.

For dinner, you and your guests will make your way upstairs to "The Boyne View Suite". Where you will be overlooking "The Courtyard Mews" another great area that can be used for a BBQ the day after your wedding. Also, a great space for your guests to have drinks outdoors, further guest rooms surround the courtyard.

A room with a view, this window acts as a gorgeous centerpiece in the room.

Bellingham Castle Wedding Venue

The Entrance  Hello all, this post feature will be the final one for now as part of my wedding venue feature. With this feature the spotlight is on Bellingham Castle which I fell in love with it, of course, each of the venues has charmed me in different ways. As you will see from the pictures the was shining for my  visit which made it extremely easy for me to take pictures of this breathtaking venue. I received a very warm welcome and I was shown around by the lovely Ciara. She explained that herself and Patrick look after the needs of Brides & Grooms. They are on hand for the run up to your big day.  The Castle is, as you would expect, extremely opulent. The Castle was renovated and re-opened in 2014.  There are up to 150 weddings a year here, so you guessed right, it is a highly sought after venue. As always early booking is essential, do not put booking your venue on the ...

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!! For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup. The whole idea with strobing is that you can see the skin and it is not heavily covered up.  I have been using the Mac Strobe Cream for a few months now. You can also strobe with powder.  Mary-Loumanizer by the Balm Mac Soft and Gentle  What I like about Mac Strobe? It makes the skin look radiant, fresh and healthy (for tired Mammies like me it's a must) It's easily applied. It's a no fuss product, there is no messing with it. It can be worn alone or added after foundation is applied. With some blush you are good to go. ...
