Alternative Hen Party Ideas

Hello all, for this post, I am going to share some fabulous alternative hen party ideas. This post has been on my to-do list for a long time now, if you're stuck on ideas for something different then don't worry because I have you covered, from Gin School to Glamping and everything in between. These venues and activities will ease the stress of planning so enjoy the read.

Organising a hen party can be a very difficult and tiring task. If you have been tasked as the hen party organiser you probably have a sense of the pressure already.
My top tip is to make the whole planning process as easy as possible for yourself, especially if you're not used to planning and organising. The venue and activities that you choose will help take that stress away so ensure that you choose well. Also bear in mind that the Bride needs to feel special and relaxed.
Even if there is mayhem going on in the background don't let her see it.

Listoke Distillery & Gin School:

First up is Listoke Distillery & Gin School  Irelands first interactive Gin School, located in the beautiful settings of Drogheda County Louth. Gin has become a very popular drink in recent years and if the Bride is a gin drinker then she is going to love this. A visit to the gin school costs €95 per person.

The distillery is located in a converted stable on the grounds of the estate. The Gin is made in small batches of 350 liters at a time. It is bottled, labeled and sealed all by hand"

Listoke Distillery is perfect for an intimate group and the Gin School caters for up to 12 people at a time. As part of the experience, you will enjoy a tour of the distillery and learn about the history of gin. Each guest will get to bring home their own bespoke bottle of gin now that's very cool. While your gin is distilling you will also be treated to some food and I hear they do delicious pizza.

Hands up have you have ever wanted to make your very own Flower Crown? I know I have. Well, The Crate a Dublin based company hosts private Flower Crown making workshops. At the workshop, each of you will get to make your own crown (no experience is necessary) and who knows the skills gained might come in handy on the wedding day especially if the Bride loves DIY.

The Crate caters for large and small groups and the cost is €35 per person for a Dublin Based Workshop and it lasts 1.5 hours. If you are outside of Dublin the cost will increase due to travel.

What's cooler is.... they will come to you. If the hen party is in a penthouse of a hotel, this is becoming a very popular choice among hen parties or the party might be in a rented house or in a reserved area of a bar. The Crate can bring the workshop to your party location( if it is ok to do so of course). This takes the hassle out of the group having to travel.

Another fabulous, fun and alternative activity, for further information and workshop booking, check out their website  The Crate for more information.

"The Crate was born from a love of all things that tell a story, an idea shared between childhood friends Claire & Steph, with the aim of making people happy. We have developed a unique offering of wildflower styled bunches for you to create a story with someone special to you. Flormar Revolution Lipstick In Burgundy Mission

These are the three berry colours available    I was delighted to receive a sample of the Revolution lipstick in burgundy mission, along with the lip liner to match. These were Kindly sent from RDC Communications . Flormar  was launched this year in Ireland and it has proven to be a huge success and a popular choice for those who want affordability and quality.  I tested this lipstick out over Christmas, as I am trying to be more adventurous and try out stronger colours, as I normally tend to stick with nude tones. This lipstick is a rich berry colour with blue undertones, having these undertones makes your teeth appear whiter.   "Revolution is Flormar premium lipstick containing shea butter, cocoa, olives, a super pigment and easy 8 hr staying power" . Swatch of lipstick and liner  Application Tips: Before application ensure your lips are in good condition especially in this harsh weather. Exfoliate to remove any dry skin and apply vase

Located between Balbriggan & Skerries. If you have ever visited here you will understand what I mean. Everytime I go to Ardgillan I literally fall in love with it all over again. Whether I go for coffee in the tea rooms, bring my daughters to the  playground or just walk around the grounds. I adore it and Ardgillan was recently featured on Lovin Dublin as the best park in Dublin to visit, now that's pretty cool. So onto the beautiful Castle, I met with Ann-Marie and Danielle and we chatt

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!! For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup. The whole idea with strobing is that you can see the skin and it is not heavily covered up.  I have been using the Mac Strobe Cream for a few months now. You can also strobe with powder.  Mary-Loumanizer by the Balm Mac Soft and Gentle  What I like about Mac Strobe? It makes the skin look radiant, fresh and healthy (for tired Mammies like me it's a must) It's easily applied. It's a no fuss product, there is no messing with it. It can be worn alone or added after foundation is applied. With some blush you are good to go.  Lo
