Get Cleansing With The Nivea Complete Cleanse Range

A few weeks ago I attended the Nivea Cleansing Blue Room event with The Voice UK & Celebrity make-up artist Lauren Murphy. Nivea is one of those household brands, I remember Nivea was always used in our house and when I started using skincare products I used Nivea. With so much noise around skincare and the must have brands, I think we sometimes forget about the classic products that have always been there and which work.

At the event, I was reminded of just how good Nivea is. I was treated to a complete personal cleansing experience. It was much needed as I had been working all day so my skin needed to be freshened up. My makeup was removed using products from the Nivea cleanse range, the products felt fresh, soft and light on my skin. With a very gentle smell from them, my makeup was then lightly reapplied and my skin looked very refreshed from it.

Getting My Cleanse On

Lauren then demonstrated how some of the products work on the skin. She removed half a face of makeup to show just how effective the products are for removing foundation, mascara and eye liner.

Some of her tips were:

Always remove your make-up before going to bed.Hands up who is guilty of  thsi one. The Micellar wipes are handy to have next to your bed for this very reason.

Mascara, when left on the eye, can dry in and irritate the eye. Use a gentle product such as Nivea Eye makeup to remove it.

To remove stubborn eye makeup like eyeliner, go in with a cotton bud cover it in the Nivea Double Effect Eye makeup Remover.

Double cleanse using Nivea Micellar Water. It acts like a magnet and attracts makeup and dirt from the skin.

If you're a fan of the winged eyeliner, use the eye makeup remover to clean up the edge of your liner.

The Micellar cleansing wipes are great for wiping away and cleaning up lipstick and to also refresh the lips before lipstick application.

After the event, we were kindly given some cleaning products to try out at home. The cleansing range is made up of 9 products, the products pictured below are

  • Double Effective Eye Makeup remover €4.99
  • Sensitive Caring Micellar Water €5.99
  • 2 in 1 Cleanser & Toner   €4.99
  • Cream  Cleansing Lotion €4.49
  • Micellar Wipes €5.99
  • Cleansing Wipes €4.49

The range is affordable and effective and it offers easy and effective make-up removal. I have incorporated some of the products into my skincare routine and I am liking the "Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover". I have flash eyelashes and I found it to be gentle to use on them. It has a double solution that works to remover makeup quickly. I have also been using the "Micellar Water", I use it in the evening for removing my day makeup and I finish with the "Cleansing Lotion".

I found the products used so far to be fine for my skin. As always, test out on a small area if you're using for the first time. The cleansing range is available in a variety of choices to suit different skin types and find the products that best suit you.

The range is available in pharmacies and Supermarkets nationwide.

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!! For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup. The whole idea with strobing is that you can see the skin and it is not heavily covered up.  I have been using the Mac Strobe Cream for a few months now. You can also strobe with powder.  Mary-Loumanizer by the Balm Mac Soft and Gentle  What I like about Mac Strobe? It makes the skin look radiant, fresh and healthy (for tired Mammies like me it's a must) It's easily applied. It's a no fuss product, there is no messing with it. It can be worn alone or added after foundation is applied. With some blush you are good to go. ...

Boyne Hill House Estate Your Exclusive Wedding Venue

Hello all, I am back with my Wedding Venue Feature. I will be putting the spotlight on different venues that I know you are going to love. The last feature I did went down really well so I decided to do it again, sure any excuse to go visit venues and I am gone. Recently I visited   Boyne Hill House Estate this exclusive wedding venue has been on my radar for a while, so I was very excited to go visit it. Boyne Hill Hosue is located in the picturesque surroundings of Co.Meath, it dates back to the 18th Century so you can just imagine the charm and history that it beholds. The drive up to the Estate is very beautiful and tranquil. I couldn't help but picture how a couple would feel making their way up to the Estate. If I had all the good feelings about it I know a lot of newly engaged couples will. When you drive up the roadway to the Estate, the historic house peaks out from the woodlands. I will a...
