Hello all, for this post I wanted to share my three new beauty products that I am loving. I have been using these products for the last few months. As always brands are linked throughout, just click on the name.
So first up is Dizzolv'it, this is a makeup melt beauty cleansing balm. Up until using this product I have never used a cleansing balm before and it is from Cailyn Cosmetics. I purchased this at the Pro Beauty Show in October. I initially went looking for their O Wow Brush and I ended up buying this after testing it on my hand. I got it at the show for €22 and it retails at €25. I think it is worth the price as it lasts,I still have loads of product left.
How to use it:
You only use a quarter sized amount and you get a tiny spatula in the box (shown in image above). This ensures you use just the right amount. When you massage the balm into the skin, it turns into a light oil. Apply to dry skin and simply rinse off.
What I like:
The softness of the balm. My skin felt smooth, fresh and it was not dried out, this tends to happen to me when I use the wrong product. It literally melts into the skin and is so light, the balm removes all traces of makeup and there is no need to double wash (in my case anyway). I just use cleanser after washing and my usual cream or serum.
The science part:
The balm contains two key ingredients, they are Acerola and Papaya. Acerola is an antioxidant and is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. Now we all know how how good vitamin C is for the skin. Papaya has digesting properties that dissolves dead skin cells and helps to promote skin renewal.
Next up is the Green Angel Aloe and Seaweed Eye Gel. I have never used an eye gel before ( I am very ashamed to say). But I have used Green Angel before and I really like their products and they are an Irish company. I wanted to try the eye gel after Tara Makeup recommend it a while ago. It retails at €19.95 so again, a very good price point. You can find your nearest stockists on their website.
What I like:
Green Angel products are based on the fusion of Irish Seaweed and natural essential oils.I like that is a gel and not a cream, as the gel is cool to touch and is light when applied. It sinks into the skin very quickly. The benefit of a gel base is that it will soothe, nourish and calm the skin. I have a noticed some subtle changes around my eye area from using this. The area is not as dehydrated and is slightly fresher looking. Before using this I would noticed the dehydration around on eyes after I appiled my foundation.
The science part:
Ingredients Aloe Vera,Witch-Hazel Extracts,Irish Seaweed Extracts (Bladder Wrack,Toothed Wrack,Carrageen,Knotted Wrack, Sea Lavender Extract and Glycerine.
My Tip for using:
You only need to apply a small amount to the eye area. Do not go up to the eye line at your lower lashes, as over saturation can create white spots. Apply twice a day in the morning and before bed.
Lastly is Flormar Bronzing Powder for face and body. I have wanted to get my hands on this for a while. I was in my local chemist one day and I spotted some Flormar products so I picked this up as it was on my list to try.
I always use a bronzer over my makeup. The ones I have used previously had too much of a shimmer in them for me, so lately I was not liking that. This is more matte than shimmer as it only has a slight shimmer to it and it retails at €10, which is a great price point.
What I like:
All round it's a great bronzer. It smells really nice it has a creamy scent to it.
I apply the bronzer over my tan, just a little on the legs down the Centre and on the feet when wearing heels and a dress. The powder is light and velvety to touch. I would love if it came in a smaller version for the handbag as it's too big to carry around. But that is only a little thing, other than that I am very happy with it.
Let me know if you like any of these brands and what your must haves are?
Love & Sparkle
