Living Coral and Your Wedding Story

Image via Chic and Stylish Weddings  when living coral comes to life....

This post is one that I have been meaning to do for the last while. But better late than never as they say. As you may or may not know every year a colour is set for the year by Pantone and this year it is Living Coral.

Vibrant, yet mellow PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment.
Representing the fusion of modern life, PANTONE Living Coral is a nurturing colour that appears in our natural surroundings and at the same time, displays a lively presence within social media.

This colour influences everything from product development and purchasing decisions in multiple industries, including fashion, home furnishings, and industrial design, as well as product, packaging, and graphic design.

For this post I am sharing some Living Coral inspiration that you can add into your wedding if you desire. Coral is such a gorgeous colour and one that can be easily incorporated into your wedding story.

Here are some tips for when it comes to planning your wedding, they are not in any particular order...
  • Know your budget.
  • Have a conversation with in-laws and family members early, so they know what you need help with and the direction you are going. This cuts out unnecessary arguments further into the planning.
  • Choose your bridal party carefully, as there is nothing worse than an non-supporting party.
  • Ask for help and delegate, do not be afraid to give over control.
  • Research your suppliers, look at their social media and ask a lot of questions.
  • If you like a certain supplier, book them early.
  • When you go venue shopping have an idea of your guest numbers and what you may want for your day. Bring a list of questions that you may want to ask with you.
  • Have an honest conversation with your partner so you know what each of you want from your wedding day.
  • Trends come and go, so do not get caught up with them.
  • Know your colour scheme and tailor other colours around it. Creating a mood board is a great way to get a feel of what you like and want. With mood boards think venue, dress, colour scheme, bridesmaid, extra details and flowers. For this, Pinterest is a great place to start.
  • When choosing your colour palette, take in the time of year for your wedding, winter, summer, spring & autumn. Your venue will also inspire you.
  • Trust your suppliers and know what you want from them, especially when it comes to venue decor and wedding photography.
  • Enjoy the planning and your day as it goes so quickly, so take time to be as a couple and to take the day in.
  • Wedding fairs and showcases can be very overwhelming at times. My best piece of advice is to have a list of what you want to get from them e.g. booking a supplier, honeymoon planning advice, wedding dress inspiration etc.
Now back to some Living Coral inspiration. Various colour palettes surround the colour, You can use these palettes  for inspiration and they are great for exploring different tones from soft to bright. You can view these here on Pantone and throughout my post. So in a real wedding sense let's have a look at what Living Coral translates too. Various colour palettes shown below will offer inspiration there are so many beautiful shades to choose from.

I love the idea of the flower girl being dressed up a vibrant colour as opposed to the norm of cream, ivory and white.

Flormar Revolution Lipstick In Burgundy Mission

These are the three berry colours available    I was delighted to receive a sample of the Revolution lipstick in burgundy mission, along with the lip liner to match. These were Kindly sent from RDC Communications . Flormar  was launched this year in Ireland and it has proven to be a huge success and a popular choice for those who want affordability and quality.  I tested this lipstick out over Christmas, as I am trying to be more adventurous and try out stronger colours, as I normally tend to stick with nude tones. This lipstick is a rich berry colour with blue undertones, having these undertones makes your teeth appear whiter.   "Revolution is Flormar premium lipstick containing shea butter, cocoa, olives, a super pigment and easy 8 hr staying power" . Swatch of lipstick and liner  Application Tips: Before application ensure your lips are in good condition especially in this harsh weather. Exfoliate to remove any dry skin and apply vase

Ardgillan Castle Wedding Venue Feature

Hello all, I hope you enjoyed reading my first venue feature as I am really enjoying it. I have felt so welcomed by the venues that I have visited so far.  Please feel free to share and spread the word if this feature is of interest to any engaged couples you know. (These posts are not sponsored) and you can also follow my blog on    Facebook   |   Instagram   | Twitter  |  Snapchat  |  Pinterest On Thursday 2nd  June I went to visit venue number two, the breathtaking Ardgillan Castl e. Located between Balbriggan & Skerries. If you have ever visited here you will understand what I mean. Everytime I go to Ardgillan I literally fall in love with it all over again. Whether I go for coffee in the tea rooms, bring my daughters to the  playground or just walk around the grounds. I adore it and Ardgillan was recently featured on Lovin Dublin as the best park in Dublin to visit, now that's pretty cool. So onto the beautiful Castle, I met with Ann-Marie and Danielle and we chatt

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!! For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup. The whole idea with strobing is that you can see the skin and it is not heavily covered up.  I have been using the Mac Strobe Cream for a few months now. You can also strobe with powder.  Mary-Loumanizer by the Balm Mac Soft and Gentle  What I like about Mac Strobe? It makes the skin look radiant, fresh and healthy (for tired Mammies like me it's a must) It's easily applied. It's a no fuss product, there is no messing with it. It can be worn alone or added after foundation is applied. With some blush you are good to go.  Lo
