ALFAPARF MILANO SEMI DI LINO Hair Treatment

  

Have you heard of SEMI DI LINO? It’s a bestselling hair treatment line from ALFAPARF Milano.  Recently I was invited into the brand new ALFAPARF Milano Ireland Academy in Dublin to experience the Semi Di Lino unique three step in-salon treatment to detox, care and gloss.

The Semi Di Lino treatment line has been renewed and enhanced, I was a total newbie to the brand and products. Yes, I had heard of the range but I had never used it. I noticed instant results post-treatment and because of that I feel the need to share my experience with you, the treatment will literally change your hair.

As mentioned above there are three steps to the treatment. Firstly, your stylist will have a chat with you in relation to the condition of your hair, what your main concerns are, how often you colour and how you style it.

My hair pre-treatment

I get my hair coloured every 6-8 weeks. For my last colour, I changed from balayage back to blonde highlight with colour. If you are blonde you will know it is high maintenance. My Main hair concerns where dryness and the overall condition of my hair from heat styling (adding waves to my hair).  

Your treatment will be based on your personal consultation. Products from the Semi Di Lino range will be used by your stylist as part of your treatment.Post-treatment products from the range will be recommended as part of your home treatment plan.

For my treatment, Ronan from Sebastian Marks recommended that we focus on cleansing my hair, adding moisture and lifting the brassy tones that were present by using pigment.

STEP 1: 

Involves the application of the Semi Di Lino professional detoxifying mud…here’s the science

This powerful Detox Treatment uses the proven, purifying effects of activated carbon and kaolin clay to gently but effectively remove the damaging impurities from the hair caused by environmental pollutants. Hair and scalp are returned to their original state and left ready and primed for the second step of your Semi Di Lino Ritual.

STEP 2 CARE: 

After 20 minutes the mask is washed from the hair. Other products where are then added to my hair including moisture shampoo, a nutritive mask (like conditioner ), nutritive essential oil was also mixed in with the nutritive mask and lastly, pure pigment in violet ash was added to my hair to lift the brassy blonde tones.

Step 3 GLOSS:

Would I recommend the treatment?

Yes, as the results are instant. The overall experience was fabulous and it was a real treat. My Hair felt so clean, smelt amazing, looked healthy and it had that I just got my colour done look. The brassy tones in my hair were lifted thanks to the pigment application.

The treatment brought a shine back into my hair which can be difficult to get as a blonde. Also, what a fab treatment to get done as a Bride to be your hair will be in great condition for your wedding.

Having a detox treatment on the hair is needed due to the colours we use, the way we style our hair, the environment we are in every day. I think it’s time we started to treat our hair like our skincare routine invest in good products and regular treatments.

In terms of cost, it's a very affordable range. I was actually surprised at the affordability of the range myself. Based on the results obtained it is a brand worth trying out.
