Bellinter House Wedding Venue

On Sunday 23rd November I went along to the Bellinter House Wedding Showcase. This venue was on my list of must see venues. If you have been following my blog for awhile you will know that I love intimate wedding venues and ones that offer a cosy, romantic and old time feel. Bellinter House definitely has these elements.

Bellinter House is a Georgian Manor and is located in the beautiful setting of the Meath Countryside. There are 35 guests rooms located in the house and a further five duplex rooms with two single story dwellings in the renovated Stables. These rooms are modern, spacious, warm and relaxing and are located next to the house.

What to expect from the venue:

Old meets new in this venue. Parts of the house have been renovated. The two blend in beautifully so you get the best of both worlds in terms of decor.

You also have the option of an outdoor ceremony. They take place under the Ancient Weeping Beech Tree located on the lawn to the front of the house.

They have a dedicated Wedding Fairy in Bellinter House, who is on hand to guide you on every aspect of your special day.

You can have exclusive use of the house for your wedding day, this means that no-one else will have access to the house on the day of your wedding.
If you like the sound of this the cost for exclusivity is €1,500 Sunday -Thursday and €2,000 Friday, Saturday and Bank Holidays.

Your wedding dinner and entertainment will take place in the newly renovated "The Refectory". You can seat up to 200 guests here. The draping and neutral tones in this room are beautiful and the natural light that flows in from the garden sets a soft background. A bar is also located in the room, which is always a plus for me as it means guest don't have to wonder off in search of the bar.

You can also book "The Eden Restaurant" for a more intimate wedding with seating of up to 130.

Bellinter House also has a spa known as the Bathhouse Spa. You could visit here on the lead up to your big day by having a "Ladies Day Out"  or relax as Mr & Mrs after your big day. Also your wedding  package includes a free wedding make-up trial in the spa.

Feed Me:

There are various packages on offer and they cater for all seasons, budgets and tastes. With a midnight feast included in all packages this is definitely required. I think we all know about the midnight hunger hit when at a wedding.

On arrival you can choose from a number of drinks i.e. Bellini's, Cocktails, Prosecco and Mulled wine, which accompany the various canape choices that are also available.

Vintage Afternoon Tea is another option for your guests on arrival. I saw this being served at the Wedding Showcase to people having afternoon tea and It all looked so delicious.

The day after your wedding, let the celebration continue with a BBQ or dinner. Various packages and options are also available for this.

The Bridal Suite

A big thank you to the lovely Emer Smith for showing me around on the open day. All couples that attend got the one on one treatment which provided them with a chance to chat and ask questions.

It is worth saying that Bellinter House is more then just a Wedding Venue. You can go here for a night or weekend away. Why not host a special occasion at the House i.e. christening, bridal shower, engagement party or birthday party held in one of their intimate dinning rooms. You can also experience their vintage afternoon tea or relax at the spa. whatever you do at Bellinter House you will truly enjoy the beauty of it all.

I asked Emer to describe Bellineter House in three words and she said it is chic, trendy and exclusive. The next Wedding Showcase will be held on the 1st December, so why not head along and have a look, you will not be disappointed.

  1. An Ireland wedding sounds so romantic. Los Angeles wedding venues seem to be great, but it's a whole different experience getting wed in a place that has essence that time imparts you know. Anyway, I was looking around for wedding venues and came across this. Cheers to love!

Flormar Revolution Lipstick In Burgundy Mission

These are the three berry colours available    I was delighted to receive a sample of the Revolution lipstick in burgundy mission, along with the lip liner to match. These were Kindly sent from RDC Communications . Flormar  was launched this year in Ireland and it has proven to be a huge success and a popular choice for those who want affordability and quality.  I tested this lipstick out over Christmas, as I am trying to be more adventurous and try out stronger colours, as I normally tend to stick with nude tones. This lipstick is a rich berry colour with blue undertones, having these undertones makes your teeth appear whiter.   "Revolution is Flormar premium lipstick containing shea butter, cocoa, olives, a super pigment and easy 8 hr staying power" . Swatch of lipstick and liner  Application Tips: Before application ensure your lips are in good condition especially in this harsh weather. Exfoliate to remove any dry skin and apply vase

Ardgillan Castle Wedding Venue Feature

Hello all, I hope you enjoyed reading my first venue feature as I am really enjoying it. I have felt so welcomed by the venues that I have visited so far.  Please feel free to share and spread the word if this feature is of interest to any engaged couples you know. (These posts are not sponsored) and you can also follow my blog on    Facebook   |   Instagram   | Twitter  |  Snapchat  |  Pinterest On Thursday 2nd  June I went to visit venue number two, the breathtaking Ardgillan Castl e. Located between Balbriggan & Skerries. If you have ever visited here you will understand what I mean. Everytime I go to Ardgillan I literally fall in love with it all over again. Whether I go for coffee in the tea rooms, bring my daughters to the  playground or just walk around the grounds. I adore it and Ardgillan was recently featured on Lovin Dublin as the best park in Dublin to visit, now that's pretty cool. So onto the beautiful Castle, I met with Ann-Marie and Danielle and we chatt

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!! For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup. The whole idea with strobing is that you can see the skin and it is not heavily covered up.  I have been using the Mac Strobe Cream for a few months now. You can also strobe with powder.  Mary-Loumanizer by the Balm Mac Soft and Gentle  What I like about Mac Strobe? It makes the skin look radiant, fresh and healthy (for tired Mammies like me it's a must) It's easily applied. It's a no fuss product, there is no messing with it. It can be worn alone or added after foundation is applied. With some blush you are good to go.  Lo
