Some of the most popular designs from Loving Invitations |
Hello! I hope you are all well, I cannot believe it is the end of the summer, like always it flys in. This post is in collaboration with Loving Invitations, an Irish owned online wedding stationery company from Kilkenny. When Linda contacted me and asked could she send out some samples to me I said yes, yes, yes after looking on their website and seeing the wedding stationery that they have on offer!
Choosing your wedding stationery can a very daunting and overwhelming experience, similar to your wedding dress shopping and venue hunting there is so much choice out there. But like everything else, when you select the right ones you will just know.
My tips for selecting your wedding stationery:
- If you have a wedding theme fit it into the design
- Do not go over your budget.
- Keep it simple, do not overcrowd with wording, especially on your invitations
- Ensure your RSVP date is a month before your wedding
- Include a stamp as part of the RSVP
- For final proofing of your wedding stationery ask someone from outside of the wedding prep, a friend or colleague. Trust me on this on as I am not the best with grammar so I would recommend this.
- Order some extra invites just in case you make a mistake when writing out the names.
Now onto the fabulous designs of Loving Invitations . When I got to hold them in my hand I thought the quality of the print and paper was excellent. They are varied in terms of design and they are contemporary, fresh, pretty, delicate and affordable. They have it all covered from your save the date right through to your invitation for the big day.
You can choose from various styles, such as the flat wedding invitation, folding wedding invitation, tri-fold wedding invitation and Tri-fold wedding invitations with RSVP. Their designs are even broken down into seasons, now that's very cool. In terms of pricing, for the budget-conscious couple, flat invitations prices are around €2.39 per card. For the couple that would like to add some more information e.g. accommodation, directions or day after celebration information etc along with an RSVP card prices are around €3.69 per card
I really like this style of layout for your ceremony, much neater than the booklet format.
Linda from Loving Invitations shares her hot invitation trends with us:
Classic, monogrammed, vintage and animated – there are scores of styles to pick from when choosing your wedding stationery.
Botanicals
The nature trend continues to be popular but in 2016, it's all about the wild flowers, the meadows, and the countryside, It is less structured and more organic. The flowers theme is timeless and always fashionable and can work for any type of wedding. Depending on colours and the way they’re used, you can give wedding invitations a romantic or vintage twist or a modern and minimalist feel. Botanical patterns will certainly appear on numerous wedding invitation printouts throughout this year and next

Foliage
Foliage illustrations can be used almost all year round. Autumnal coloured leaves can set the perfect tone for your autumn wedding and tones of green bring a sense of freshness and are perfect for spring and summer weddings. This trend would lend itself well to outdoor, rustic types of weddings. Imagine barns, garden weddings and venues heavily inspired by nature.
Font
Bold graphics and type fonts are becoming quite popular, with couples opting to use striking graphics and bold type fonts for their invites – think script and calligraphy styles, making a big impact whilst still being very easy to read.
Deep Colour Palette
Moving away from the traditional ivory invitations, a deep colour palette has been emerging for this winter season. To give these deep tones a more romantic feel, we have teamed them up with striking florals and pretty lettering to give that wintery idyllic feel.
