Hello all, can you believe we are nearly at Christmas already? I do love the build-up to it though. Not the crazy shopping but the time off to relax and spend with my Family and it is much needed.
For this post, I want to share with you the makeup that I am currently loving. I am including all four products in the one post because I used them to create my makeup look shown in the post. If you follow my social media platforms you will have seen me chat about my love for these products already. You can follow my blog on Instagram Facebook Twitter

These Custom Glow liquid highlighters from Primark are fab. If you're looking to save and not splurge on a liquid highlight then these are perfect and they would also be a great stocking filler. They are €5.00 each and they come in three beautiful shades. I picked up two of them in "Pearl Blossom" and "Star Gaze".

These can be worn alone or mixed in with your daily foundation to add a subtle glow to the skin. I prefer to mix them in with my foundation, when I used alone, I found it harder to blend into my skin. A small amount goes a long way with these highlighters, simply add a couple of drops to your foundation and mix together.
I then sweep over my face again with a clean foundation brush. I find doing this helps the mixture settle better into my skin. I was concerned prior to application that the highlight would be overly sparkly on the skin, but it wasn't which makes them perfect for day wear.
My top tip; If you're going on a night out add some of the highlighters to your decolletage or down the centre of your legs for that extra glow. Add some drops to your body cream to create that party glow.
Continuing on the highlighting road, I picked up this illuminating powder from Primark. They have them in four shades, Brunch Club, Mink Pink, Peachin and Gold Digger. Brunch Club is the shade that I have been reaching for and I am loving it. It's highly pigmented, it's a champagne colour and again its great for daily wear as it doesn't have glitter running through it. It is subtle and light, I apply my highlight just above the cheekbone, down the centre of my nose and just a little to my top lip.
These highlighters are just €3.50 each and they are a steal. I'm all about the detail when it comes to products and I really like that the lid on the powder clicks back into place, sure it's all about the little things isn't it. I would love a little mirror in it but at that affordable price, I am not going to moan. It gets a big thumbs up from me.
YSL All Hours Foundation from.
I received this foundation at a YSL event a few months ago. I was extremely lucky to be colour matched by YSL makeup artist Fred Letailleur and of course he matched me perfectly, my shade is BD25. After being colour matched properly by Fred I do wonder if I have been using the wrong shade all these years. It sits so well on my skin, it goes to show how important being colour matched properly is.
Firstly I have never used YSL before so I was new to the product. I have not stopped using this foundation since I received it over two months ago.I adore the packaging, the frosted bottle is sleek and understated. Yes, I know it's not all about the packaging but it matches up to the product.
The foundation is medium to full coverage depending on how you prefer to wear it. It's breathable on the skin, what I mean by that is it doesn't feel like you have foundation on. You know sometimes when you wear a foundation and you can feel it on the skin. The coverage is brilliant and I just use two small pumps, it doesn't cake on the skin or flake off, it is infused with a black tea anti-oxidant complex for additional skincare that combats the signs of dullness and fatigue while protecting skin from pollution.
The formula is lightweight and it also has an SPF 20 in it. It is enriched with a skin care complex and UV filter so this will explain why the skin looks fresh and smooth after application.
Does it last All Hours?
Like many mothers out there my morning makeup routine needs to be quick and easy. I apply my makeup at 6.30am and I do need to top up slightly in the late afternoon around to the noise or forehead area. That's more down to me touching my face so it's not going to hold due to that. Then others days I might only need to apply some powder for touch-ups it really depends on what I am doing.
The cost is €42 and it comes in 22 shades. It is suitable for all skin types, I think it's definitely worth the price. I have been using it daily and there is still loads left in the bottle. As always, if you are going to purchase a more expensive foundation get a tester and colour matched before you buy. You can purchase YSL foundation in Brown Thomas.
The pictures below show the results of me using these products together. The liquid highlighter, foundation and powder highlight. Budget and high-end perfectly match and great if you're being budget savvy.
