This post is focusing on my favourite skincare products. I have been trying some new ones,so of course I had to share them with you all. Some of these I have mentioned before but I wanted to go into more detail this time.
First up Image Vital C Anti Aging Hydrating Serum, this is perfect for environmentally damaged, sensitive and rosacea prone skin.
I had another facial a few weeks ago as part of a package in Jule Spa (read about that here). I had wanted to get a really good serum, so I decided to treat myself and purchase and oh my, it did not disappoint.
What I like:
The smell is amazing, it's like oranges. (warning you might want to eat it)
The serum is hydrating, lightweight and it melts into the skin.
Skin maintains the glow that comes with using the serum.
It's full of vitamins A&D.
This is a high end product but it is so worth it. I am taking my skincare more seriously these days, maybe it comes with being in my thirties but I want to look after it better. When I get my next facial, I will purchase the cleanser, as I have been using the sample of this and I love it. I apply the serum in the morning and evening after I cleanse.
Definitely try the image facial as I think that you will love it and the results after. Jule does the mini facial for €45 and a full one is €75 in most places (but it is an experience).
Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep Serum.
I started using this in July after I was selected to test it for Vichy as part of a campaign (read more here about the campaign). I had never used Vichy products before, so I did not know what to expect.I have not stopped using this cream ever since.
I put it on very night before going to bed as the last step in my beauty regime. I have two young children, the eldest is 3 and youngest is 4 months, so I never get the full 8 hours sleep. After using this cream the last few months, I notice when I wake up my skin looks fresh and feels soft. So if you are not getting your full 8 hours then give this a try.
What I like:
It is infused with jasmine and green tea.
It has a lovely gel texture.
It is lightweight and so smooth.
It has an almost strobing effect to it, as the skin glows.
The packing is so pretty (I know typical, but it is)
The science part - it's full of essential skincare ingredients like LHA (anti-aging and anti-acne ingredient) Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid.
Lastly Thermal Sprays.
These might be something you only think off when you are away in the sun and you need a quick cool down. These can also be incorporated into your skincare routine. I even use them to freshen up my foundation. Just one spray and work into the skin with your foundation brush. This can also be added into your night or day skincare routine. I use one spritz at night.
What I like
Hydrates the skin (important for the cold nights coming, when our the skin gets dry)
It's all natural
Freshens up the face
Great for sensitive skin
Anti Irritation
So soothing
As with all skincare there is no one miracle product, below are my top tips that work for me. My makeup also sits much better since I started looking after my skin more.
My top tips:
Find what works for you,
Treat your skin to facial.
Drink plenty of water.
Develop a skincare routine.
Invest in some high end products.
Eat as healthy as you can.
Exercise (a good sweat is great fro the skin)
Wash your makeup brushes. (clean brushes clean skin)
Throw out old makeup. (some can carry bacteria when out of date)
Love & Sparkle
