As a busy Mammy to two girls aged 3 and 3 months there are times (more often than not ) when I am sleep deprived, as all Mammies and Daddies out there are. It is the consent going during the day and into the night. Then the broken sleep from getting up to feed or settle baby or when your toddler needs you for whatever reason.Whether it be looking for their soother, wanting to go the toilet, bad dreams or just needing to get into your bed.
So back to the fabulous day I had. On Tuesday morning I was picked up and driven to the Morgan Hotel in Temple Bar (was great not having to worry about driving in).The photoshoot and filming all took place in their Penthouse. We were pampered for the day, our hair and makeup was done and we were styled for the shoot. Triona McCarthy who is a regular on Xpose was on hand for the day to offer us advice on our skin and chat with us about the Idealia Skin Sleep cream. I was looking forward to meeting her and I was not disappointed she is so nice and down to earth.

In the morning we each did our own photoshoot and in the afternoon Cybil came out from Xpose to film and chat with us. I was very nervous talking with the camera on but she made us all feel relaxed. I have never done anything like this before and all of the team involved were so nice, professional and friendly. The ladies from Vichy, the photographer, the stylist, makeup artist and hairdresser, they all made us feel so comfortable.
The styling and makeup for the campaign was very laid back and natural. Clothing was similar to what you would wear at home and the makeup was light and bright.

Now for the cream itself, we each tryed it before the day. I really liked it and I am not just saying that because I was selected for the campaign. I have never used a night cream or Vichy before this. It is light on the skin, the texture is smooth, the smell is not overpowering as it has green tea and jasmine in it (I could smell the green tea in there). It gives a glow to the skin and reminds me of the glow you get from using a strobe or highlighting cream. I have also noticed that my skin is less dull in the morning. When I am really tired or get a bad nights sleep my skin tends to go dull. Since I have started using it as part of my skin care regime I am also noticing that my foundation is going on better. I also like the packaging it's very pretty and there is a mirror in the lid so its very handy for traveling.
It does retail at €34.49 so it is not cheap, I do think it is worth it. Sure you would spend that in Penneys within 5 minutes and not think anything of it (well I would anyway). I will continue to use it along with the other products that we were gifted with.
